I can’t record activities because the watch says memory full but I have deleted everything off the watch

I can’t record activities on my Garmin forerunner 45 because it says activities and memory full but I have deleted all activities from the watch & done reset (on/off)

How much free space does the watch drive report, when you connect the watch over the USB cable to a computer, and look at the properties of the drive?

Besides deleting all files from the folder //GARMIN/Activity, you can also delete all files from //GARMIN/RemoteSW, //GARMIN/Debug, and all unneeded files from //GARMIN/Text/, //GARMIN/Workouts, //GARMIN/Courses.

How or where do I access the properties of the drive when I connect my watch to the computer please?

On a Windows machine, by right clicking the USB drive in File Explorer. Not sure about Mac, not using any, but probably in a similar way using the Finder.
