Forerunner 255 music has issues with data gaps in Garmin Connect

My newly bought Forerunner 255 Music has issues with gaps in the heart rate, stress and body battery data in Garmin Connect. I can see on my watch that the data is there, but when checking in Garmin Connect, I see gaps of several hours as if the data was not collected. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? I have tried to restart, reconnect etc but to no avail.

Also, as a side note. During the 1 month period I have had the watch, I have experienced it just shutting completely off - or rather, restarting - out of nowhere. This happens even though there's plenty of battery left and I am sitting inside in normal temperatures.

  • I'd contact the vendor or the Support, in your place, and request a replacement watch.

  • Did you learn what the cause is? I have the same problem since midnight, but then on my new vivoactive 5 (3 weeks old). I don’t have the reboot/ shutting off problem. Only the missing data in connect app and web, while it’s visible in my watch.

  • I never learned what the problem was, no. However, I have seen a pattern where it happens more often - maybe exlcusively - when I'm in heavy concrete buildings. It should have nothing to say I guess but it's just something I have noticed

  • For me it’s only happening exactly at midnight. So connect app misses data from exactly 00.00 until 00.18 or until 02.00 in the morning. It never happens during the day. And it’s not happening every night. Only since last connect update it happens every night at midnight exactly. So odd.
