An activity I recorded on my Edge 1030 shows up in Garmin Connect but will not sync to my Epix. How do I get the activity to appear on my Epix so that the my training readiness and training load will be accurate?

I did a workout today on my indoor trainer and recorded the activity on my Edge 1030 bike computer.  I have done this many times and had no issues.  The activity uploaded to Garmin Connect successfully and shows up in the app and online when I go to the Connect website.  My watch is connected to my phone, and continues to say it is syncing successfully, yet the "last activity" on my watch is from the day prior.  The most recent activity I did is not syncing with the watch, so my training readiness, recovery timeline, and training load are all inaccurate on the watch.  I've tried connecting to Garmin Express, turning the watch off, forgetting and then re-pairing the bluetooth connection...nothing works.  This is massively frustrating.

  • You can try manually uploading the FIT file of the activity to the folder //GARMIN/NewFiles/ on the watch. Export the activity as "original" from Garmin Connect web, and unzip it, to get the FIT file.

  • Thanks for the recommendation.  I did this and the activity showed up on the watch, but nothing else changed.  The time to recover, training readiness, training load, and load mix all stayed the same.  This is even after I opened the Connect app again and synced the device.  I also powered by Edge 1030 Plus back up, synced, refreshed multiple times…nothing.
