Stuck in Pairing and Cannot Remove Device from Connect - 4.74 version

I got a new iphone 13 and tried to connect my Forerunner 945 so I can sync my activities and also get my messages on my watch.

The phone and watch find each other and say they are paired but the Garmin connect app gets stuck in finishing the connection process after you tap the "connect it" button.

I have done the shutdown both devices and I even uninstalled Connect and reinstalled it on my phone. I am also running the 4.74 version of Connect.

I have tried to delete the device from the list of devices under More/ Garmin Devices / Forerunner 945/...however when you get to this screen there are no 3 dots in the top right corner to select delete device!

Any help would be appreciated.

I had similar-ish issue. New phone, could not get my watch to pair. Turned out my old phone was powered up and connected to my watch. After powering off the old phone, all was good.

Make sure you remove the watch from bluetooth devices in the phone before you add it in Garmin Connect.

That's not an issue as this is a new phone...it's not there.

I was able to login on a PC and delete the device from Garmin Connect. It's no longer listed on my phone anywhere and it still will not finish the pairing even though they make the initial connection.

I never get to the 6 digit pin final step....
