Not showing all my sleep

Not a new issue but wonder if functionality to manually adjust sleep start time is possible

as an example I went to bed before midnight but Sleep has me starting at 02:38, no doubt when I got up for the bathroom.

I‘ve no doubt the watch recorded my sleep before that so it would be good to be able to suggest a start time for my sleeP last night so it included it all

  • On the screen that shows your sleep details for the day, tap the three dots in the top right hand corner.

    Choose Edit Sleep Times

Set them to whatever you want.

    Tap Save

  • Thank you for this, I didnt know that existed.

I can see it looks to be only available for the last night of sleep (cant see how to edit the one for the initial question now for example), so only have one to go on, but it looks like it just fills with a blue sleep session as oppose to wake or REM or deep, which I imagined it had recorded but maybe not.  I will see as I add more missing sessions

    Thank you

  • Hmm, you're right. I hadn't noticed that the edit function only exists for the most recent night.  I'm afraid the sleep tracker isn't Garmin's best feature. Another tip is to set the normal bed time and wake times (in More > Settings > User Settings) and then be consistent in your bed and wake times. That helps you as much as the watch: studies show that even a fifteen minute shift in a person's bed/wake times affects sleep quality even if the quantity is the same.

  • Thank you again.
I've adjusted the bed time to an hour later...probably more reflective.  Problem is if I get up it resets...as you say, its not its strongest feature.  But still good indicator.  I do need to concentrate on the sleep hygiene thou primarily! Cheers
