iphone not finding venu sq2

I have a new (used) Iphone 12. the phone does not find my venu sq2. other bluetooth devices have been found but not garmin venu sq2. ideas

Just to make sure, are you using the Garmin Connect Mobile app, not the iPhone Bluetooth settings to pair the watch?

did something change? with my previous iPhone XR i did not have an issue.

Not that I'm aware of. Could be your watch is still looking for your old phone. Are you putting the watch into Bluetooth pairing mode, then using the app to pair with the iPhone? It's all in the video.

I have the same issue. It used to connect and sync fine and then yesterday it stopped syncing.

Ive followed the help, turned off everything and reconnected everything. It did one sync and then dropped off.
getting a little annoyed with it
