Is it possible to edit on mobile app activities?

Hi,

I am new to Garmin eco system.

I am trying to edit activities on my mobile app. Curently I have originaly set activites Running, Cycling, Swiming, Walking, Multisport, Gy&Fitnes, All activites.

I would like to add some winter activites like backcountry skiing or skiing and hiking and I do not know how to update it.

manny thx for your help,

Boštjan

  • The watches only support a sub set of all available activity types. You can't add any that aren't supported by your watch. So, start with which watch you got and check the available types for that model.

The only solution to add unsupported types is to use apps from Connect IQ. My solution is instead to use the type Other and after sync change the type fo the correct type.

  • Now I see that you are trying to change the menu options in the app. That can't be changed.

  • To add new activities like backcountry skiing or skiing and hiking to your Garmin Connect mobile app, follow these steps:

    1. Open Garmin Connect.
    2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines).
    3. Select "Activities & Gear" or similar.
    4. Look for an option to add a new activity.
    5. Choose the activity type you want to add (e.g., skiing).
    6. Customize settings if needed.
    7. Save your changes.

    Why so many detours?

Simply press and hold the Connect app icon on your iPhone homescreen.

Then a menu appears and you are immediately at your point 4 ( add new activity ). = Create Manual Activity

    It's that quick.

  • Not everyone is aware of that feature, no need to be condescending.

I am sorry if you have already classified this as condescending. Of course, this should not happen. I just wanted to help.
