Duplicating Scheduled Workouts

When I schedule a workout in Garmin Connect (add to calendar) it is sent to my watch (Instinct Crossover) correctly. When I select that days workout on my watch and perform it, it adds a second workout to that day on the calendar; one is completed the other scheduled. Shouldn't it simply complete the workout that was already on the calendar? Each time I have to manually delete the original scheduled workout so I don't have two. I have seen other post this same question without a definitive answer. Is this the correct behavior or is there a glitch in the system?

Thanks for any input.

Ken

  • Each time I have to manually delete the original scheduled workout so I don't have two

I don't find that this is necessary. There are not 2 workouts. There is one scheduled workout and one completed activity. Different icons and different colors. Not a duplication.

You can also filter out certain items, like scheduled workouts or activity types.

This is working as designed, but if you want this behavior changed, you can submit a request - Share Ideas | Garmin

  • Fair enough, one could argue it's not a duplicate, but I think of workouts as a task needing completed, much like a task on a business calendar such as Office. When the task is completed, it is marked as completed not added as a new task that is marked as completed, leaving the original as still scheduled. I think I will add as an idea as you suggested to see what others think.

Thank you for taking to the time to respond.
