Heat acclimation not working

I train in 85 degree weather but in the past week my heat acclimation has been dropping. This is a fault with Garmin that needs fixing.

  • The watch relies on the temperature shown on the watch's Weather widget at the moment of the start of the activity. Next time before starting an activity, verify whether the widget displays temperature above 22ºC (72ºF). If not, and you know it should, then you will need to troubleshoot why the weather data did not sync correctly. In some cases, when data from the wrong weather station is used, you may need to set the weather location manually.

If nothing of it helps, please reach out to the Product Support at https://support.garmin.com

  • You can see from my first screenshot that the heat acclimation used to work. It’s only been in the last 5 days that this has dropped off. This is despite me continuing my usual exercise.

I see other users having the same issue, so I imagine it’s due to an update Garmin has done in the last week or so that has caused this error.

Yes, of course I saw it, and that's why I wrote you should check the temperature the Weather widget reports before starting your next run or ride. If it is below 22°C and you know it should not be, then you need to troubleshoot the weather data, because the acclimation will drop, if the starting temperature is lower.

I did not notice any other users recently reporting any problems with heat acclimation. Could you point us to some of the recent threads?
