Why did I not receive artic swim badge? Temperature was 10oC & I recorded the swim editing it to show as open water activity manually. Super annoying & needs resolving

If GPS wasn't activited during your swim Garmin can't know the temperature at that location.

When you do a swim with the GPS active you will see a map in the activity and in the corner you will see the temperature that will be used to determine if you should get the badge or not.

If your watch doesn't support open water swimming you must report it as some other outdoor activity that got the GPS active and then afterwards change it to OWS.

ah I recorded it with GPS as a pool swim which is supported in my device, changing it to an open water swim afterwards for it to record accurately and the badge be awarded. Do I guess I need to record as something other than swimming then as my device default to pool swim! Thank you
