This actually applies to both Android and iOS, but it’s far worse on iOS. My wife’s VA4s rarely displays SMS or phone calls. Tday it wouldn’t display either, either before or after restarting it. About 15-20 minutes after the restart, both worked again. This appears to be a problem with the Connect app. The Connect app on my Android smartphone has settings under “Phone Permissions” for “Phone Calls” and “SMS Messages”. Both of these are usually displayed on my VA3. However, a test SMS sent this afternoon did not display, even though I had received an SMS on the smartwatch this morning and generally get both SMS and phone calls displayed on my smartwatch. The two settings mentioned above are missing from the iOS Connect app.
Is this problem known to Garmin? Is there a way to configure Connect for iOS to reliably and. consistently deliver SMS and phone call notifications to a connected smartwatch?
