How to add rest HR in My Day in the Garmin Connect app? I just have a Garmin Edge 840, but I use HRV4training to follow my HR... Or may it possible to sync Garmin Connect with HRV4training? Thanks.

All is in the subject. Thanks for help!

  • How to add rest HR in My Day in the Garmin Connect app?

Resting HR is already on the My Day screen by default. You can find it on the HR panel. Of course, it assumes you use a HRM chest strap, or another HR monitor with your Edge. If you have no HR monitor, then you won't get any heart rate data, hence no Resting HR either.

To record the resting HR with Edge, you will have to start the activity a few minutes before you start the ride, when you are still in rest, in order that the Resting HR can be captured. You can also set up the Resting HR manually, if you know it. Not sure about Edge 840, but on other devices it can be manually set after disabling the option "Use Average" in Device Settings » User Profile » Heart Rate & Power Zones » Heart Rate » Resting HR

  • Thanks for the reply, but I don't have Rest HR on the My Day screen in Garmin Connect app...

I have a HRM chest strap but I want to take my rest HR when I wake up, what I do with HRV4training, not when I go to train , sometimes in the evening...

I would like a possibility to manually enter this morning rest HR...

    Thanks.

  • I have a HRM chest strap

A HRM chest strap does not record any HR when not recording an activity (started from your watch or Edge). You'd need to start a dummy activity while staying still during it, to capture the HR. I am still not sure the Resting HR would be recorded during an activity. It is best logged with your watch during the sleep.

On the My Day screen, the Resting HR is on the HR panel:

Otherwise, the Resting HR can be also reviewed in Garmin Connect Web at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/report/60/wellness/last_four_weeks
