Has Connect and Apple health integration been fixed ?

Hi all, I may be getting another Garmin soon since my last one stopped working , my question is did they fix the connection between Connect and Apple health ? I still use the Apple Watch Ultra but want my Garmin to and like to have all the data in one spot .. I recall a few months back it was a work in progress.

It writes your activity to Apple Health but some data is missing like VO2. The rings on iPhone will not be filled unless you open the Fitness App on your Apple Watch after you finish your exercise and before day ends. There is no plan yo fix this.
