My garmin activity fit file is corrupted and won't upload my activity.  This was my longest run yet and very important to me.  Can someone please help?  Here is a link to the file:

  • This will work - [solved]

Fixed using Fit File Repair Tool

Some suggestions to help minimize the occurrence of corrupt fit files on a Forerunner 35

    • Avoid pressing stop or pause during an activity.
    • Sync your watch, backup the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder, then do a full master reset of your Forerunner 35 using these directions - Restoring All Default Settings.
    • Perform a weekly cleanup of the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder using these directions - Removing Recorded Activities to Free Up Space. The F35 seems to have problems with longer activities, so this step is important before a longer event.
    • Check for firmware updates using Garmin Express.
  • Wow!  Thanks so much.  Yes, it worked and I got the activity uploaded.  I'm very grateful!  Your suggestions make a lot of sense.  I've been using the F35 for a number of years without an issue,  but this was my longest run by far and I used the pause button more than usual.  Good to know this corruption can happen!

I hope Garmin is paying you!  :)
