Changed overview of the 7 days and 4 weeks body battery summary (4.70.1 update)

With the 4.70.1 update the page of the 7 day and 4 weeks overview of the body battery drastically changed.

I used those graphs a lot: they gave me a good insight into my battery progress over a longer period of time. Due to overstimulation and poor sleep, I sometimes hardly charge at night and wake up with a very low battery. By resting during the day I might end up with a higher battery level than I started with. This is not visible at all in the new format, in which you only see the highest and lowest value per day! I am now missing a lot of overview and information Disappointed

Can you please bring the old graphs back?

  • Same issue seen here. The new chart dummies down the data significantly. PLEASE revert to the previous line chart.

  • I agree,  I much prefer the old graphs that I could look at to see effects of naps or meditation on the battery decline.  Very useful.  The new "range" data is borderline useless.

  • The new updated graph contains LESS information than the previous model. The current graph only shows the highest and lowest number and does not depict changes throughout the day. The old model showed not only the high and low but WHEN they occurred and showed HOW your battery changed which you could compare to your stress and activity levels. I'm very disappointed in the update which renders  the 7 day and 4 week graphs absolutely useless. Please go back to the old model!

  • I agree. I hate the new system of the way the body battery has shown for the seven day period. I would like to be able to change it back to the way it was before. Yes, it does dummy down all the information and it’s not as useful as it was before. Please change it back to the way it was before or give us an option to be able to make line charts instead of bar graphs.

  • I agree with this post - I have just spent ages trying to find out why one of the key functionalities I use has suddenly gone and what setting I needed to change to get it back, only to find posts like this suggesting that it is no longer possible and a deliberate design choice. The body battery is (was?) a key reason I got my second, upgraded garmin watch, as it was invaluable being able to see the way this trended over a week. I'm not very happy to find out that a change can be made all of a sudden that, if it had been made before I purchased my watch, I would not have purchased the watch.

Is there any way to view this data now? I know that individual pages still show the full graph, but that only means tediously flipping through day to day or literally screenshotting and stitching the graphs together in a photo editing app (not a tenable option for obvious reasons!). I've yet to find if it's even plausible to pull the data and analyse it in a separate program - seems like body battery's a bit of an outlier there? - but even if that's an option, it's a very big difference from just a couple of seconds pulling up a screen as required.

  • Agreed. This new update has removed a lot of useful information from users.

Please revert to the previous version, Garmin.

  • Yes, I came here with the same request. It’s hard to find more stupid change than removing information about timing from the chart. When did I have the lowest level? How long did it take? Was it 2 times per day? How quickly did I get from the high level?

None of these questions can be answered with the new design of the charts. I’m looking at the app updates every day hoping a new version comes, which puts back the previous informative look.

  • I agree!  this is horrible and NOT useful or significant information. coupled with the loss of independent graphing for the pulse sleep ox - This loss of access to data makes the Lily almost useless for me

  • Yeah! Line graph forever!
