Calories blank on manually added swimming activity - previously ok

I manually add my swimming activities into Garmin Connect using the ios app.

Up until today the calories field has been calculated and shown by the app.

Today the calories field is blank. As far as I know I haven't done anything different or changed anything.

It matters to me as with nothing in the calories field the activity doesn't sync across into Apple fitness - messing up my long term trends.

Any ideas?

Thanks

In a similar thread it became obvious that it happens when your weight is set to zero, which seems to be happening lately due to a bug in the mobile app. You will have to make sure the weight is filled in. I also recommend reporting it to the Support, since I am not sure whether anyone already did it, and whether Garmin is aware of the problem with zeroing the weight.

  • Many thanks - yes weight was zero - corrected it and re-entered activity and all was well. Have raised the issue with Garmin support.

  • Weight correct but still showing 0 calories for manually entered swimming activity yesterday, yet registered ok for todays activity

  • Weight correct but still showing 0 calories for manually entered swimming activity yesterday,

You need to add a weight value for yesterday too, and then re-add the manual activity, if you really need the Calories there.
