v4.70 App Changes

Can we just go back to the old interface? It wasn’t broken and I feel like it was better streamlined than it is now. Why is there such a larger emphasis on the route map? Why are my my shoe miles broken into a new tab now? This redesign is awful.

Sincerely,

a designer

  • I am sad I just posted this question elsewhere on this site and see that it is a feature of an unasked for update (curse you automatic updates). old version was better.

  • So it looks like changes were made based on this. Now 'Other' activities also use this new layout. Stuck out tongue closed eyes

Good news is that the elevation chart is no longer at the top and execution score is visible in Connect Mobile for 'Other' sports like inline skating—before the score could only be seen in Connect Web.

New feedback: That 'x2' icon in Vigorous minutes is black on a dark gray background. The text is barely visible inside the circle and could use more contrast.

Edit: Reposting last picture shared to show differences in amount of data seen at a glance. (When seeing a connections activity the abscence of the add picture icon allows one to see the distance in that view.)

  • Hello,

The resume of my activities no longer appears in the 3 classic circles (time, distance and calories). It shows now like this:

I would really like to have the resume as it was before. Can anyone help me with this, please?

  • Can anyone help me with this, please?

We cannot. Garmin changed it. If you used an Android phone, you could install an older version of the app from an APK archive, but on iPhone it is a little bit more complicate. I never tried it, but some websites claim it is also possible. Try googling "downgrade to an older app version on iphone" or similar. Other than that, you can only try suggesting a change to Garmin - either by contacting the Support, or submitting a request at Share Ideas | Garmin
