v4.70 App Changes

Can we just go back to the old interface? It wasn’t broken and I feel like it was better streamlined than it is now. Why is there such a larger emphasis on the route map? Why are my my shoe miles broken into a new tab now? This redesign is awful.

Agree! Update is awful! Lots more scrolling now, whereas everything was more condensed. Steps on one area are displayed on two lines if steps are 5 digits.
Can we go back?!

On v4.7 on my iPhone 14, I can’t add my gear to activities because I cannot scroll through my list of shoes. Has my none running partner suggested this update to reduce my shoe fetish by any chance? Seriously though, please fix this bug ASAP please Garmin. Thanks!

Agreed, new interface is not useful, looking for calories takes now a lot of time to search in the stats.

I don't know why you changed the look, but if it's because your programmers are bored, I have a few suggestions for what they could do with their time:
- Bright interface
- Standard equipment by activity type, e.g. mountain bike, road bike
- Allow more than one standard equipment (tires, chains)

and I'm sure there are many other ideas.

The new interface is fine but we lost the elevation in the summary… can we replace calories with elevation? Or allow for users to choose their own fields in the summary tab?

Update as of August 29, 2023:

Garmin Connect mobile version 4.70.1 is in the process of getting rolled out, starting yesterday.

There are some important hot fixes in the new update, so make sure to check the App Store/Google Play Store for the update to get this latest version installed.

I am using an iPhone, and when I go to add my gear (shoes) to my activity (run or walk, etc) The list of shoes is not complete, you cannot scroll up and down as previous version allowed, and just will reload to see if the shoes change to add to activity or try again later, very frustrating and sometimes hard to remember to add later if the shoe is not listed
