[BUG?] Connect crashes and/or does not restart after an update

Over the past several months the Connect app crashes in the background and has to be restarted to sync properly.

I noted that the last two times it crashed around 2 AM in case that is a clue.  

Also, I see the app was updated yesterday so maybe it crashed when it was updated?  Or it did not restart after the update?  Also, looks like it was updated a week ago and that is when it last needed to be restarted.

Is there an issue with it not restarting after an update??

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16.5.1, Connect v 4.69.1.

  • After the last update, the only thing Garmin Connect would show is 'No data yet'. 4 hours over 3 days with tech support through phone and chat didn't fix it.

    2 watches-  D2 Mach 1+ Instinct 2 Solar, , Index scale, and Index BPM are rendered useless for training purposes due to the unreliable Connect app.

    Watches are great, but the Connect app sucks.

    Going to try the Apple ecosystem and unload all the Garmin junk.
