I have the fenix 5X. Is it working even for that as well?

The fenix 5 does not have the Garmin Pay feature. You would need at least the fenix 5 Plus.

I have the fenix 5x. Is the wallet option doesnt work with the 5x as well?

Correct. The fenix 5X does not have Garmin Pay. The 5X was part of the fenix 5 series (January 2017), which was before the fenix 5 Plus series (June 2018)
