Why is there no activity for Equestrian sports?

I play polo and ride horses daily, and I find it odd that you have no activity category for equestrian sports.

If you don't have it on your watch, you can edit the activity type in Garmin Connect to Horseback Riding.

The newer fenix, epix, Instinct, & MARQ watches all have the horseback activity profile.

Saves and uploads to Garmin Connect as HORSEBACK RIDING.

Well I have the new fenix and when I go to edit activities horseback is not listed. I will look again

If you have the fēnix 6, 7, or 7 Pro, Horseback is on your on your watch as an activity profile - Activity Profiles on fēnix Watches

The annoying thing about Garmin and horse riding, is it ‘counts your steps’ as if they are your own. I often use the cycling button to record my data. Then edit/ convert it to horse riding. However I record, it counts my steps that the horse actually did. There should be a way to ‘block’ steps whilst recording eg cycling or horse riding

100%. And even more to the point. Very surprised Garmin developers did not truly build an equestrian activity that is useful.

On my opinion it is still more useful to record riding activity as Run and then change the activity to Horseback. Doing that you'll get running dynamics from tour Garmin HRM-Run/Pro belts, which are pretty useful for later analysis.
