My Garmin is around 3 years old and it will not charge. Tried using my sons charger and it doesn’t work either. What can it be?

hi,

did you pay the electricity bill ?

care to tell which Garmin device you own ?

use a toothbrush to clean the contacts ?

check your charger on your sons Garmin device ?

I have a similar issue. I have a vivoactive and an instinct solar 2. Both have charging issues. But I also got those after market rubber port covers from Amazon. I wonder if that has somehow changed the contact edge. I have to really whiffle and just get it right to make it charge. On either device.

with or without port covers, regular cleaning is helpful

do the contacts look corroded ?

They don’t look corroded, but I have never cleaned them. What is a good method? Toothbrush and just water?
