Why can't I get the Toasty badge

I did a bike ride today in 39°C outdoor heat and recorded it with the Edge 530. However, I did not get the Toasty badge (the requirement is to record an activity when it's 38°C or hotter).

I saw the corresponding activities of my friends who got this badge, but the temperature did not exceed 38°C.

Look at the temperature displayed in the map for your activity. That is what decides whether you will get the badge or not.
