Garmin 1030 Plus and Speed Sensor

I have just purchased the Garmin Edge 1030 Plus along with the Speed and Cadence sensors. Now on my Garmin Connect App I get two ride’s showing: the Edge shows the actual ride and then the Speed Sensor will show sometimes 3 portions of the actual ride?

Disconnect the speed sensor from Garmin Connect. Only connect it to your Edge.

The speed sensor will report activities if it is connected to Garmin Connect.
