High heart rate not showing in app

I have a Venu 2s and have noticed that although the watch reflects sudden peaks in heart rate the connect app doesn’t. For example, this morning I noticed a spike of 122 on my watch but my highest heart rate on the app is showing as 105. Does anybody know why this may be? Thanks

  • The daily heart rate is an average value of 2 minutes so all peaks that are shorter than a few minutes will be shown.

If you log an activity you will see the peaks in the HR graph for the logged activity.

  • Yes the peaks during activity are shown in the graph but not the short HR spikes during other times. That’s disappointing that it can’t show that. Thank you

  • If you need to see short spikes, start an activity (and preferably use a HRM chest belt). When an activity is in progress, the sampling rate is up to 1s, in contrary to the standard 2 minutes on the all-day graph. However, short bursts of HR are not of a great interest anyway, except if you suspect you suffer from some heart problems, but in that case I would not rely on a wrist optical sensor, and rather try to get a true medically approved HR monitor.
