Ho garmin instinct solar, non registra i record del nuoto, cosa sbaglio?

Hard to say from your description. Can you describe in detail what you do? Does it work for other activites like running, walking...?

Ok. Set it manually from the activity in Garmin Connect Web. That will hopefully make it start to work.

Scopro ora che probabilmente registra solo quelli del nuoto in piscina e non in mare aperto. Ho lo stesso problema e seguendo il consiglio di quello che ti ha risposto vedi su connect web che i record li ha per "nuoto in piscina". E basta.

Quindi (forse)  per la mia esperienza (nuoto solo in acque libere) non sta registrando nulla sui record per questo motivo.

Tu hai mai nuotato in modalità "piscina" come attività impostata?

Records at OW Swimming are rather pointless - for example I swim often the same distance on the same place, and depending on the conditions, the time may be from the half of the average to the double (or even more) of it, so having beaten a record there, would just tell me that the currents, wind, and waves were favorable on that day. Or that the GPS worked especially bad, and that the watch recorded a much longer distance than it should.

... you can still set the records manually in GC web, as e7andy wrote, if you wish. Simply click the double dash, and enter the value you want:

Purtroppo io nuoto solo in piscina e in modalità piscina. Ma i record non ci sono. Mi dispiace non vedere i miglioramenti…

I had to set them manually the first time. After that they started to work.
