Watch iPhone disconnection after iOS 16.4.1 update

Hi everyone,

since the last iOS update (16.4.1) my Fenix 7 frequently disconnects and reconnects to my iPhone. It happened after the latest Fenix update but then it was fixed by a subsequent iOS update. I tried to unpair and pair again the watch to the iPhone but it didn’t solve the issue. 
any suggestion? someone experiencing the same problem?

  • Unfortunately this issue seems to be a little more frequent;

    what helped me was:

    • remove your Fenix from iPhone Bluetooth devices (= remove pairing)
    • remove the Connect app from your iPhone
    • restart your phone
    • install the Connect app
    • setup the bluetooth pairing with your Fenix from inside the Connect app

    This worked for me, having suffered through similar problems.

    If this doesn't help, I'd suggest contacting Garmin support.

  • Thank you. I've followed your suggestions. It seems fine now but I completed the process only a few minutes ago. 

    EDIT: no disconnections in several hours. The problem seems to be solved. Great. Thanks!

  • It solves the problem for 3-4 hours on my Fenix 7, then connection is lost again.
