Garmin Connect Adding Contacts - cannot add multiple contacts at once and country codes are all incorrect

Hi, I am new to the Garmin world, I have just got a Venu 2 plus and am trying to add my contacts in (iPhone). But I am only able to add them in one at a time which is time consuming to say the least as it reverts back to the start each time I add one. I do not have the option which is in the videos to select multiple... Also, each contact is doubled in the list to choose from and the country code for all contacts is different to my location (+61), they are all set to +1 so I manually have to change each contact when I add them. My location is set to Australia in all my settings. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have been on hold with Garmin call for quite some time...

    Sorry I should have worded it a little better - my contacts list imported so I can ‘select’ from my contacts list to add them to my Garmin Connect, but I can only select one at a time and…

  • Normally you do not need to add any bigger number of contacts, since all contacts from your phone are already included - see the right button "Phone" at the top of that page. So add just a contact or two in Garmin Connect to be used as emergency contacts. And when adding a new contact, you have to select the country the contact is residing in, in order to have the right prefix

    I don’t have any ‘phone’ button Cry Garmin support on the phone didn’t know either… I don’t know whether I need to start from scratch. I just want to add the main people who would call/text me so I know who it is when it pops up on my watch notifications.

    The question is why you want to add more than a contact or two to Garmin Connect. Normally, there is no need for doing it, except for the above mentioned use as emergency contacts for the Incident Detection feature.

    There is no need to add them to Garmin Connect. As soon as you have the contacts in your phone, their name is being shown automatically on the watch. If it does not happen on your watch, then it is typically because of some caller blocking app, such as for example the TrueCaller, who (for some weird reason) removes the original caller name from the system notification being sent to the watch. If you use any such app, try disabling it, or contact their support to see whether the suppression of the name can be disabled.

  • Oh. my. Gosh! Thank you! I mis-interpreted the instructions as I read it as only contacts in your Garmin Connect will show in your notifications (calls/txts) and if they aren’t in that list then they will just appear as a number. So thank you very much for taking the time to explain it! I will just add the emergency contacts only.
