Can’t connect Approach S12 to IPhone ?

I’m having issues connecting my device to my iPhone. I have a Approach S12 and it’ll go through like it recognizes the device and gets about 25% of the way through the set up on the golf app and then will go back to the original screen to select a device but no error message or anything?

  • If you have had the Approach S12 paired to that phone in the past, then I would suggest checking your smartphone settings for previously paired bluetooth devices to your smartphone, and check and see if the S12 is showing paired through your phone settings app. If showing pared to your phone but not in the Garmin Golf app, check the App Store on your phone to see if an update is available for the app, if not...check and see if the OS for your smartphone has a software update available for your phone for either AndroidOS or iOS, and install any updates that are showing available. 

    However, if you have not had the watch paired to the phone, I suggest following the instructions through the Update Golf Courses and Device Software on an Approach Garmin Support page for updating your Approach S12 through Garmin Express on a home computer. After installing the updates, attempt to pair your Approach S12 by deleting the device from the bluetooth paired devices menu in your phone settings, then put your S12 in pairing mode and pair as new through the Garmin Golf app.
