Incorrect day on watch for Garmin Coach

I recently started a training plan with the Garmin Coach feature. I successfully completed the Benchmark run on the correct day and went to do my second run in the training plan which was showing correctly in My Day in Garmin Connect.

However when I went to complete the run on my Fenix 6s, the run was not available as the suggested workout for the day and the Garmin Coach on my watch is telling me it's a rest day. I can see that my future workouts in the Garmin Coach section are visible, but it seems that everything is a day out of sync. I can see the workout shceduled for two days time in Garmin Connect as tomorrow's workout on my watch.

When I completed the workout, the UTC time was beyond midnight so I tried to manually change the time on my watch back to when UTC might still be on Wednesday but this did not work, it still registered as a rest day. I have tried re-syncing the watch to the Garmin connect app and changing the time zone in various ways both on the watch and through Garmin connect but nothing works. The watch still tells me that I am a day ahead of myself in the training plan.

If this a known bug, is there any way to get around it other than by shifting the days I have planned my workouts to the day before to accommodate the weird behaviour?
