Authorization error logging into strava with google

Getting the following error when trying to connect my strava account to garmin connect app on my iphone 13 mini, ios 16.1.1:

Access blocked: Authorization Error

You can’t sign in from this screen because this app doesn’t comply with Google’s secure browsers policy. If this app has a website, you can open a web browser and try signing in from there.

You can let the app developer know that this app doesn’t comply with Google’s secure browsers policy. Learn more about this error

Sounds as it should be reported to Strava, not Garmin, if I understand it correctly.

Workaround was to use http://www.strava.com/upload/device (which I found from https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216918057-Garmin-and-Strava).
