voice alerts during runs speak super fast and scrambled, impossible to understand

i have set voice alerts every 3 min during my run. 

in the last 3 months or so the alert speaks super fast almost robotic, impossible to understand.

I use a forerunner 55 and garmin connect app running on IOS. all apps and systems are up to date.
