Why is there no badges for real world floor or altitude climbing - walking, running or cycling?

I love climbing hills…in the real world. But there are no badges or points to be earned from this. Why not????

  • The Virtual Climb badges are real world floor/altitude climbing. I don't really know why they are named "Virtual Climb", but you get them by ascending the required number of feets. You must log them as "Floor climbing".

  • You can gain the "Virtual Climb" badges even by casual walking or running. Additionally, if you already ascended the required elevation in one of your past activities, you get the badge simply by changing the original activity type to Floor Climbing, in Garmin Connect.

As for cycling altititude-related badges - there are plenty of them. First of all the basic Climber 1, Climber 2, and Climber 1, ..

... and then there is a monthly Cycling Climbing challenge badge almost every month.

     - Could you add a search box to your excellent Badges Database, where visitors could search & filter the badges by a keyword (in the titles and description)? The badges are already so numerous, that when we look for one, it becomes difficult to scroll through all of them.

Thanks. That is really good suggestion. I will try to add it.
