Descent G1 software version update

I have a Descent G1 non-solar and the iOS mobile Connect app is showing the watch software version is 8.65 (4f20a8a) but I think the current latest version should be 9.27. Even if I go online, the device notice does mention there is a version 9.27 available if sync next time. However, I tried sync using the Connect app, Dive app, or Connect IQ app, the device version is still showing 8.65 only.

Any way I can update to the latest version?

BTW all the iOS apps in my phone is up-to-date already as shown in App Store

Connect the watch with the USB cable to a computer, and check for updates with the Garmin Express application.

Thanks… it worked. I thought I could just rely on using the apps and my phone… glad my 2011 desktop is still available and running… issue resolved.
