Connections not possible in Garmin Connect Network Error

Hey, I recently installed the garmin connect app and I am trying to add some friends. I can search for people and find them but when I click on connect I get “Network Connection Error”…

My iOS is up to date as well as the app itself, my phone has no connection issues as well…

  • Do you get the same error when doing it in Garmin Connect Web at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/connections/search ?

You can also try a different internet connection. Garmin uses multiple servers on diverse subdomains, and some of them may not be accessible to you, either because of routing problems, or due to a blacklisting at CloudFlare, protecting the servers.

  • Thanks for the tip trux, it seems a little bit better at least but I need to ask my friends if it works. I can click connect then the state changes to "Request sent" but when I refresh the page again its back to "Connect+".

But I let you know if it worked and if the request went through...

  • Ok unfortunately It didnt work even over the web interface, the request is not going through, no error message

  • Did you try an alternative internet connection, for the case it is really a routing problem or a blacklist at CloudFlare? Also try asking the friends, to initiate the connection from their side, to see whether you can at least approve it.

  • Well at least my friend could send me an request and I could accept it.

But I tried now with PC + my wifi then Phone + my wifi and phone + without wifi, nothing worked on my side
