Move/Active calories less accurate when synching with Apple Health

Since the last Connect update (4.62) the data sunched for move/active calories seems to be accurate but Apple is not recognizing it for the Move ring.



Previously it would double and then reset to normal at the end of the day.  Now it seems to not even register.

I wonder what the complexity is with synching this data between ecosystems.  It must be pretty complex. I enjoyed competing with my wife on move challenges (she has an Apple Watch). But now it's not even close to accurate.

It's certainly not the end of the world.  But would be great to get sorted out.

    Yes, correct. Time stamps voor cycling are a big mess. Garmin, are you going to fix this?

    I’m so confused now, here is my cycling activity (zwift)  it has time stamps , but the active calories don’t make sense . Both are different

    Yea so we get the data but not the correct time Stamps …please Garmin hope you can push a quick fix for us

    On a better note the strength workout I do on my Garmin flows correctly to health and updates my rings accordingly.

    If you want to see if a workout is recorded correctly, the best way is to view it in Apple Health, go to workouts, scroll to the bottom and click on "show all data".  Then pick the Garmin workout and scroll down to "related samples".  total active energy should be there and you can click on it, that will show you calories on a screen by itself.  Click on that.  (if you can't click on that, then Garmin did it wrong).  If you click on it you should see a start and end time that match the workout.  If you don't, then Garmin did it wrong.  My GUESS is that Garmin is not only recording the workout (with time stamps), but is then recording some kind of all day calorie metric that they are tagging with an all day time stamp.  Which would break any other value they write during the day because you can only have on value for any given time range.  Which makes complete sense if you think about it for a moment, and is why their fix isn't acceptable and clearly shows they have no intention to play  nice with others.
