Recently Garmin updated its version for its new look. They actually send me a question about metrics for swinning. Before the update I was able to edit total time and moving swimn time. After new update, you cannot edit total time, moving time in swimming. I can understand using total time if you are a competitive swimmer but when you are doing recreational laps i am concerned about my moving time not my total time swimming. Depending on the size of own outdoor swimming pool, it is is a small lap pool you may need to do 4 laps to get a complete 25 neater or more lap distance which means you are going to go to the end of pool stop few seconds then swim (iMost people do not do competitive swimming turning themselves selves upside down at the end of pool to start a new lap) . In addition I have used the Apple watch using my swim.com app for a small lap pool and it is actually better than garmin swim 2. Garmin swim 2 does automatically lap it for you with a small lap pool but it takes time like 10 seconds to get the correct lap time. The bottom line I do no see much reason why Garmin connect does not permit you to edit your total swim time and moving time which it previously had done. I also fihnd the metrics that swim.com uses actually very good and unfortunately garmin does not take take the exported fit files and comes up with completely different moving swim time.
