Terrible gym workout record

Hello everyone, 

I am so piss off right now so I have to write this down and hope my gym workouts record in garmin watches are going to improve somehow. 

I am owner of Garmin Fenix 6X pro watches, using them to record my gym workout session, so while I start to work out I turn on activity "Power" or how does it call in english (czech localization on my device). After every exercise I fill in number of repeats and weight - why there is no sets? who the *** in the world count workout with repetitions? we all count like 3 sets of 6 or 5x5, I have never seen someone who says "i´ve just benched 25 reps of 220pounds", thats not the main issue tho. 

After record all exercises and save my workout I come home, and edit manualy every exercise to actaully name it, i mean edit every exercise and try to find out translation of name of that exercise, which is absolutely terrible! As I said I have czech localization, so there is everything translated to actually pretty awful and I am not really able to find those translations.  

The worst part comes here, Im force to do this after every workout, because there is no option to save my favourites exercises or much better, to entitle it by my own name. If that need to find every exercise in list would at least do some further consequences (I mean you click the name of exercise and there will be list of every workout with this exercise with some data) but there is absolutely not. So why I have to find all those names, while there is much easier option to actually name it by myself, and then choose the exercised body part?

Maybe there is some better option to write down my workouts, but I've asked this topis to garmin forum in FB and no one knows better way to do that. 

Is there some user friendly solution in IQor something? Or do I have to wait to app upgrade?

  • When you press start the first set is started, when you press lap that set is ended, when you press lap the next set is started and so on. So there are sets with a number of reps. If you do 3 sets of an exercise you will have to enter that exercise 3 times.

    If you know in advance what you are going to train then you can prepare a workout with all exercises that you send to your watch.

    I agree that the handling of exercises isn't really working. It is really hard to find many exercises and many are missing and there is no way to enter your own.

  • The things that make the strength training app useless for me is that is not possible to add your own exercises. If it is not listed by Garmin then how should I then include it in the strength training exercise setup in advance. the sad thing is that You can’t

    This leads to that I just start a strength training and just go for a lot of repeats. Keeping track of the exercises is done elsewhere due to the lack of create your own exercises that are missing from what Garmin provides. Thus a very bad solution by Garmin from my point of view

    In short, suggested that from garmin connect we can create our own exercise, naming it and optionally tell which muscles included
