App error screen - Whats wrong with it?

When starting a Sailing app downloaded to my Fenix3, I get what looks like an error screen and the App doesnt open and function like it used to following an update installed.

There is a small IQ with a yellow exclamation mark in the centre of the watch screen. Even with an uninstall, and re-install makes no difference.

Whats gone wrong?

A Connect IQ watchface has crashed. Follow these instructions to change your watchface to something else: vívoactive 4/4S - Changing the Watch Face (garmin.com)

Then use the Connect IQ or Garmin Connect app to uninstall the watchface that crashed.

So I assume you mean the app has crashed, hence the error screen. And the app developer should resolve the crash error that came with the app update?

My question has nothing to do with watch faces.

Yep that’s correct that symbol means app has an unhandled error and has exited unexpectedly, Which Sailing App?

I did let the developer know after he added HR tracking.

Does anyone else have this issue, or is it specific to me and my Fenix 3?

Works on my Fenix 6, the Fenix 3 being older unfortunately doesn't have the same memory or feature list as the newer watches which can cause problems when the apps are updated, not sure if you can roll the installed version back on your device but hopefully the developer can resolve the issue for you,
