Duplicates from different devices, how to avoid w true up?

Riding a renpho AI stationary bike while recovering fro hip surgery. It sends data to apps like ROUVY which then send to garmin connect. But it doesn’t caprture all the data I’d like so I get the rest on my Fenix 7 watch. But then I end up with duplicate activities. Isn’t physio-true up supposed to avoid this problem? How do I get it to work?

  • Physio TrueUp will only handle devices that got Physio TrueUp which only are Garmin devices. Rouvy do not have Physio TrueUp.

If you log two activities you will get two activities. There is no merge in Garmin Connect. Not even for Garmin devices with Physio TrueUp.

What data is missing from Rouvy?

  • Training status, readiness, training effect and VO2 max isn’t calculated on the watch from Rouvy data, only data recorded directly on the watch. But weirdly, the Renpho bike won’t connect to the watch to send power, cadence, sped or distance data, it will only connect to specific apps like rouvy or Zwift.

it seems there are options to download both .fit files and combine the data manually. But that’s a laborious process and even when done, the watch won’t calculate the desired data. So it seems garmin is unable to help me assess my progress with this bike. Ultimately it’s the bikes fault for not transmitting all this data openly to any device, and I’m working that issue in the Renpho forums, but that’s going nowhere. It seems like a small step for Garmin to extend the true up concept to any data on Garmin connect with the same time-stamp.
