Anyone else in favor of adding a “custom” exercise spot for strength workouts?

It is quiet annoying that garmin offers so many metrics, stats, etc, etc, etc but not a spot for a custom exercise for those not so common or an exercise you made up on your own. I’m a power lifter and have many non traditional exercises I’d like to name manually so i don’t have to refer to my phone for what’s next in my workout. For example I do squats with chains, bands, bench press with bands, chains and board presses and many others. All I can select is your traditional squat, and bench variations so sometimes have to refer to my phone to remember what I have programmed for my exact exercise. I don’t like to access my phone when working out as I don’t need any distractions. I know that’s very rare in todays world though when most people are working out with their phone in hand. Or should I say standing around pretending to workout.

yes I know this has been asked before but being persistent may help!

    1. Completely agree.  Should be able to manually add exercises especially via the connect app following a session!
    2. I would really utilise a manual option to add custom strength exercises.
    3. Also an element to add sets rather than repeat the routine
  • I currently label them as “Unknown” when creating the workout in Connect.

Pros: Lets you register any exercise and even though it’s labeled as Unknown, if you add a note with the actual name it will appear before the workout.

Cons: If you have a list full of those you won’t be able to distinguish the exercises in Connect after the workout because notes won’t show there. Unless you remember the order in which you did them.
