GCM + iOS16.1 = Crashes

I’ve been running the public betas of iOS16 and now on the official/proper/public iOS16.1 release and the Garmin Connect Mobile app continuously and randomly crashes. I think it started when I updated to 16.1 but I’m not exactly sure. I’m no longer on the beta program. I removed the profile and rebooted.

I can be tapping through the GCM app menus, tapping through the menus of a connected device or not tapping at all - just viewing the main info screen and then at no particular time, it’ll just crash. This happens within 30secs of having the app open.

And it happens all the time. I’ve tried:

- rebooting my iPhone

- restarting the watch

- uninstalling GCM, rebooting the phone and reinstalling GCM

But nothing seems to make it stable.

Anyone else experiencing this?

My gear:

- iPhone 13 Pro 256GB

- Enduro 2

I am on iOS v15.6.1, so it won't help you, but it does not seem to be a common problem, otherwise there would be hundreds of similar posts here on the forum. Perhaps some remnants of the iOS beta version are the culprit. You could try whether you find some clues in the iOS crashlogs: How to Find App Crash Reports on Your iPhone and iPad - The Mac Observer
