You can try it by reading the user manual. However, I know most people hate reading manuals. Me too.  Fortunately, there are countless of videos on YouTube that will explain anything you may need. Just type "Garmin Instinct" or the specific topic you are interested in, and you'll certainly find a few nice videos explaining it.
