Direction audio prompts speak super fast, hardly understandable

Set the audio-prompts dialect to Canadian French, perhaps it will be more comprehensible  

I have the same issue (with the German voice and Edge 1030+), it is still female but very fast. The reason was the iOS upgrade to 16. I use now my old iPhone with iOS 15. I was searching regarding this issue on the internet, but I did not found anything :-(

You're correct this started after the IOS 16 update. I guess we have to wait until they debug Garmin Connect, Hopefully someone from Garmin is monitoring the forum.

I would not count on it, even if they check, they probably would not react. I wrote now to the German Garmin support ... we will see. I will report here, if I get a feedback.

3. In what country do you live?

As I mentioned I sent a request to the German support, to do so, I gave already my agreement to Garmin to send me emails, to  view my account, thus I grant this for sure. Perhaps hard to imagine but I m living in Germany. Nevertheless, I am not sure, if this helps you to tackle the issue, but I would be grateful if this could be solved.

I found now a solution for me: I switched to another voice in the iPhone settings and I reduced slightly the speed in the same settings. Now I can understand the speed announcments again.

this feature is new to me and I try this and having the same problem... the speak voice is super fast and hardly to understand
