Forerunner 35 not showing elevation gain when sync with Garmin Connect

I have a Forerunner 35, since Sunday 18th Oct it has stopped showing the elevation when I sync the data with Garmin Connect. I have reset my watch and deleted the app from my phone and reinstalled it to no avail. When I upload the fit file to Strava via my pc it shows the elevation gain on the run. Any ideas?

I have the same problem. I cannot find any documentation on the issue.

Here you go. 800 feet of climbing. The problem developed just a few days ago as Gallagjc says.

Does the altimeter work on your watch?

Does the elevation gain show up when you turn on the Elevation Correction?

It is greyed out, inactive, cannot change it.

The 35 does not have an altimeter.

Ah, OK, I see. So it is probably a recent glitch in Garmin Connect - it incorrectly uses the barometric altimeter data that do not exist. I suggest reporting it to the Support.

If they do not understand your problem, tell them that normally at activities of any watch without the barometric altimeter, Garmin Connect is normally by default in the mode with Elevation Correction enabled, and that cannot be turned off. It had to change recently in Garmin Connect, and now it does the exact opposite of what it should.
