When I sync my watch to the app, the changes I’ve made to the appearance (wrist gesture and length of time) are not saving.

I want my phone to display with a wrist gesture and to keep the display on for a long time. I have made these changes in the appropriate place - appearance - but when I sync my phone to the app they aren’t happening. How do I get them to stick?

Which watch? Are you doing the settings in the watch or the app? Do them directly in the watch.
