Although the Field is added in IQ and synced, the GC app does not show it as an available filed.
It is however available on the watch.

That is possibly rather a problem of the CIQ app. Not all CIQ data field apps save the data to the activity FIT file, and hence the data cannot be displayed in Garmin Connect at apps not saving the data to the file. Check it with the developer of the app.
It works 100% after selecting the field via the Watch, records the data and places it in the Activity report. After doing that and (for testing) I deleing the data screen and trying again in the GC App, the GC App still shows the removed datafield as a selection and not the new data field. I have seen a few areas where the GC App does not update things as it should and one has to do it on the watch...
After changing settings through the app, you have to sync the watch again, to get the settings to the watch. If it does not pass through, after the sync, try repeating it. If still not working, contact the Support, and report the problem to them.
