Quarterly running is different than daily running. Started my day at 122.3 ran 2.01 and 0.70 miles and my quarterly only has 124.9. Not sure why I am writing Garmin does what it wants to do and never corrects their mistakes.

Quarterly running does not match up with daily running activity. This is not the first time. I also gave up complaining about the sleep hours, Garmin needs to do better with the sleep timer or delete it.

  • The numbers see to fit. The quarterly total are rounded to 1 decimal, so

Started my day at 122.3 ran 2.01 and 0.70 miles and my quarterly only has 124.9

It actually looks credible. The distances are internally stored with higher precision than shown in the stats. Hence the starting quarterly total might have been in fact just 122.25 miles (rounded to 122.3), and the runs could have been 2.005 (rounded to 2.01) and 0.665 (rounded to 0.7). The total 122.25 + 2.005 + 0.665 gives 124.92 which is rounded to 124.9 - exactly what is shown in your report.

Additionally to the rounding, the distances are internally being stored in kilometers (smaller units), hence you can observe the same rounding effect in miles already at just 2 decimal places on the internal values (instead of three decimal places on the values converted to miles).
