Brand new phone and I’m getting message that memory is full and is not letting me download a new watch face. What can I do ?

  • The memory is full on your watch, not on the phone. You have probably too many CIQ apps installed.

  • I'm having exactly the same problem. I got my watch yesterday - its brand new. I haven't installed any apps on it yet, just set the time and date.

I have a Venu Sq and its the 3rd Garmin watch ive had. Never had this before,  and not sure what to do next ...

  • Maybe you are trying to download an app that is too big for your watch. Verify the free space (you can see it for example in the CIQ app), and check out the app size.

  • Nope - I haven't downloaded any apps.  All the watch is doing so far is counting steps, monitoring heart rate and telling the time!

The message seems to coincide with times when I step away from my phone and the blue tooth connection is broken.  Don't know if that is anything to do with it.

But in all,  its a bit of a disappointment. I only took it out of its box two days ago.

  • Which watch do you have? Edit: I see you wrote Venu SQ.

Which watchface are you trying to install?

  • Nope - I haven't downloaded any apps.

Well, the title opening post tells "I’m getting message that memory is full as is not letting me download a new watch face" - a watch face _is_ an app. If you are getting the error in another situation, then your issue is different, and you should open another thread, not to mix two different problems in the same thread. You best use the forum specific for your watch - AFAIK, there are some serious problems with the latest firmware version at some Venu and/or Vivo watches, so on the device specific forum you'll find better information, because here, on the Garmin Connect forum the majority of users is not familiar with your device.

  • That was the OP, not me.  Sorry I thought this was a * discussion * forum and I thought my issue was similar.

No worries, I'll find help elsewhere!
