Age related suggestions

The garmin “suggested workouts” donot reflect age related training. Older folks require much more recovery.  In addition even though the app says “workouts are adapted to heat” the workout suggestions still remain the same despite near 100 degree heat. The temp measurement is pretty messed up, at least on my watch (945 model).
The vo2 max predictions of performance are a joke-workouts do not affirm the predictions.
Finally the workout evaluations take only the final avg pace into consideration. I recently ran 6 miles with 5 x 2 minutes at very fast pace with 2 minutes jog rest. The overall pace fit into an average run pace and a 3.2 mile run the day before was rated higher in effort. Despite achieving 95% of maximum heart rate during the 2 minute intervals I’m “short” on high aerobic workouts as the recovery jogs were counted in the overall workout evaluation.
I pay little attention to these evaluations as I train in a mode of what works. I probably could shut off the program during rest jog and get a higher evaluation.
I’m 67 yrs old and have been running for 52 yrs with 114,000+ documented miles and some credentials.
A thing you guys need to work on.
